Musings of a Tgirl

Friends & Internet friends

I came across something on friendship which I thought interesting so decided to adapt it slightly. For most people it may apply to their real life friends. For tgirls, they may find they have two sets of friends which by necessity are almost entirely separate. Then again, many poeple have two lives……a real life, and a virtual life here on the net.

So consider everyone which of your real life friends that have touched your life so far, are here for a reason, a season or a lifetime………..?

  • And where do all our newer ‘virtual’ friends fit in?
  • Which category are they in now and could they ever be more?
  • Do you have to meet them for them to become a long term or life-time friend?
  • To what extent do they have to share our dreams, fully engage your thoughts and mind?
  • Are we happy if such friends only drift in and out of our lives or should we do more to actively encourage contact?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“People come into our life for a REASON, a SEASON or a LIFETIME. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in our life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a specific expressed need. They have come to assist us through a difficulty, to provide guidance and support, to aid us physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason we need them to be there.
……..Then, without any wrongdoing on our parts or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and we walk away.
What we must realise is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer we sent up has been answered and now the reason has been fulfilled, it is time to move on.
Some people come into our life for a SEASON, because it is our turn to share, grow or to learn. They bring an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach us something we have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
…….Believe it, it is real………….. But only for a season.
LIFETIME relationships teach us lifetime lessons, things we must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Our job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what we have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of our life.
……It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.”
Anyway, to all who have so far touched my life as Tina, thank you for being a part of my life, whether you are here for a reason, a season or a lifetime, I wish you every happiness in yours
  1. Hi Tina,
    That certianly made me think. Friends are something very rare indeed. I suspect that most of our friends become close by accident and we discover them when we need them most. I’d like to thin my friends are those who have been able to see beyond the clothes – either in virtual or inreal life.
    Thanks making us ponder on that one.
    Kathy
